"Disaster Becomes You" is the 38th episode of Ruby Gloom. It was written by Nicole Demerse, and aired on YTV on May 18th, 2008.
Synopsis[]
It's Friday the 13th and a full moon is out, and while everyone is suffering from some severely bad luck, Misery is a walking, talking good luck charm (not to mention Mother Nature's new best friend). And it's driving her crazy! So she starts "Disaster Camp", a camp to train her friends to survive the nasty luck she experiences every day.
Opening Sketch: " The Adventures of SkullBoy and Doom!"[]
Skull Boy creates a cartoon about him and Doom Kitty.
Closing Sketch: "Party Tips with Doom & Ruby!"[]
Ruby gives tips about throwing a good party.
Trivia[]
- Misery claims that all of her male relatives, except for one (not named), died from sinking into quicksand.
- The ending sketch “Party Tips with Doom & Ruby!" is the last time we ever get to see Boo Boo, Edgar & Allen, the Dust Bunnies, and some of the background Gloomsville residents due to no appearance in the two part series finale “Last Train to Gloomsville.”
- In the same ending sketch, Doom Kitty can be seen dancing similarly to her dance at the end of "Hair(Less): The Musical, Part 2. The same song can be heard as well.
- If you don’t count Scaredy’s hammock in the opening sketch of Part 1 of "Last Train to Gloomsville," or the series intro, "Disaster Becomes You" is the last time we ever see the Gloomsville Manor due to the series finale taking place entirely on a train.
Goofs[]
- In this episode, Misery hates good luck and loves having bad luck, but in every other episode she hates having bad luck.
