Mr. Buns is a stuffed rabbit that Ruby created from one of her leftover socks. He is more than a toy to Ruby and her friends: he is a "special, one-of-a-kind friend". Only Misery thinks of him as a stuffed sock. After the others' disapproving shock, she refers to Mr. Buns as a "stuffed one-of-a-kind sock". The friends incorporate the floppy, yet enigmatic Mr. Buns in almost all the action in the mansion. He also has a strange tendency to end up anywhere and everywhere as if he were alive. It is possible that Mr. Buns could be possessed.

Physical appearance

Mr. Buns is a somewhat under-stuffed plush sock bunny with semi-floppy ears. He is black with a white face, black eyes (one much smaller than the other), and a few freckles above his red nose. He also has a visible belly button.

• He is similar to Plank from Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, since they are both imaginary friends believed to be alive.
• Mr. Buns debuts in the opening sketch of "Grounded in Gloomsville": "Fun with Socks." In this sketch, Ruby creates Mr. Buns, and upon hearing the oven timer ding for the buns she is baking, gets inspiration for his name.
