"Once in a Blue Luna" is the second episode of Season 2 of Ruby Gloom, and the 15th episode overall. It was written by Alan Resnick, and aired on April 9, 2007 on YTV.
Synopsis[]
Ruby and her friends camp out in the woods in search for the legendary Luna monster, a creature who comes out every once in a blue moon. While they wait, the gang starts telling stories about the Luna and they all start getting scared, especially Ruby who won't admit that she's scared because everyone thinks she's really brave.
Opening Sketch: "Pulling Pranks with Boo-Boo"[]
Boo-Boo teaches a class about pulling pranks.
Closing Sketch: "Suspense Writing With...?"[]
Venus tells a suspenseful story involving Scaredy Bat.
Trivia[]
- Poe is absent in this episode.
- The ending sketch “Suspense Writing with...?” is the first time we get to see Venus speak in full English.
- In this episode, Misery says monsters don't exist. Ironically, she and most of her friends are monsters.
- At the end of the episode, Misery comes face to face with the Luna monster and tells the gang about it. However, they just stare at her and don't respond. It is unknown if they believed her or not.
Goofs[]
- When Scaredy Bat is running through the white room, his feet change from small to big.
- Scaredy is also seen with four fingers instead of three when he says "what is that chasing me?"
