Allusion
- The entire conflict revolving the Gloomsville Manor being shot up to space could be a reference to Zathura; an spin-off to Jumanji where two brothers play a mysterious board game that transports their entire house into outer space.
- The way Skull Boy talks when he is the star fleet captian is a spoof to Captian Kirk from Star Trek.
- "Gloomsville, we have a solution!" is a paraphrase of "Houston, we have a problem", the famous tagline from the movie Apollo 13.
