Ruby Gloom is a Canadian animated television series based on the product line of the same name. The series, created by Martin Hsu and developed by Carolyn Hay, was produced by Nelvana Limited for YTV. It aired from October 15, 2006 to June 1, 2008.
In June 2008, the series was cancelled after three seasons. 40 episodes were produced.
Plot[]
The series focuses on the adventures of eponymous Ruby Gloom, who lives in a mansion along with her circle of eccentric friends, which along with the aforementioned spooks, include: a know-it-all talking raven, a bat who is too afraid to fly, a prankster ghost, and a living toy named Mr. Buns; and also Ruby's pet cat Doom Kitty.

- Ruby Gloom - The happiest girl in the world, always trying to be cheerful in the face of gloom! Ruby is the best friend everyone wishes they had.
- Doom Kitty - Ruby's silent pet kitty, who always seems one step ahead!
- Skull Boy - A creative skeleton boy who passionately searches for his true identity.
- Iris - The one-eyed tomboy with a passion for adventure.
- Misery - This teen is followed by disaster - She just can't help it!
- Poe - A self-proclaimed man of letters and intellect (altho' there's no real evidence of this).
- Frank & Len - The two-headed musicians who share a body - but could use another brain.
- Scaredy Bat - The bat who is afraid of flying and the dark and loud noises and avocados and ...
- Boo-Boo - He will do anything to try and scare Ruby and her friends, just to prove he's a real bona-fide ghost.
- Mr. Buns - Ruby's favourite sock friend.
