Ruby Gloom is a product line created in 2001 by illustrator Martin Hsu and owned by apparel company Mighty Fine. It started out as a line of school supplies and stationery items before switching over to books, clothing, backpacks, calendars, key chains, and plush toys. Ruby was described as "the happiest girl in the world", which served as a self-aware jab at her Gothic identity.
