Scaredy Bat is a character appearing in the Ruby Gloom franchise. He is a vampire bat with an Indian accent who, as his name suggests, is afraid of almost everything. This constant state of fear is perfect for Boo Boo, the mansion's ghost, since Scaredy is the only one who is afraid of him.
Even though Scaredy's fears will sometimes get the better of him, he is the loyal and incredibly talented drummer of Frank and Len's band, R.I.P. When he is behind the kit, Scaredy is a beat machine and forgets his fears. His talent as a drummer has earned him a permanent place in Frank and Len's band.
"Ooh! What was that?! Oh yes... Well actually I am sure it was nothing - just a little breeze... or an intruder... or a huge monster! Yes that's it - it is a huge life threatening monster!!! Oh - what's that? a dust bunny? It's a little dust bunny? Oh yes so it is - a little dust bunny - well no matter - one can never be too careful now can they......now where was I - ohhh is it getting darker? I am not too fond of the dark. Oh, everything makes me so nervous. It's bad enough that I am afraid of pretty much everything, but Boo Boo is constantly startling me! Thank goodness Ruby is here to help me set my nerves at ease!"

Scaredy Bat is a small black bat with one fang and a purple scarf around his neck.
Personality[]
Scaredy Bat is extremely fearful and anxious. Despite being a bat, he's afraid of flying and being in the dark. Scaredy is even afraid of his own reflection. He finds comfort in his friends and in holding a crumpet, his security object.
Scaredy likes to be extremely prepared for things, and often brings oddly specific items to small trips or vacations. Like different types of pens, to cotton candy, to his wallpaper and bed.
The only time Scaredy wasn't afraid of the dark, and even turned of the lights himself, was at the end of "Forget-Me-Not."
