Squig

Squig is a large flying worm that Iris adopted as a pet. Although he is not seen that often, he accompanies Iris on all her adventures as both her companion and sometimes her mode of transport. He is about five times as big as Iris, is black and red with patterns down his back, and has a small set of wings at the end of his tail.

History

Iris was on one of her adventures on a boat in the ocean, and decided to take a break. She threw her anchor to the bottom of the ocean, and wasn't aware that Squig was on it because he was really small. The anchor landed on top of an octopus' head, and got upset at Squig. Squig was frightened and swam up to the top of the ocean as fast as he could, and grabbed a rope that was attached to Iris' boat. He then started swimming and moving the boat, making Iris happy as she was enjoying the ride. They've been friends since then.

Trivia

• In "Déjà Vu, Again," it is shown that Squig cannot do extreme tricks alone, and gets afraid. So he needs Iris on his back in order to do them.
